How many Paparazzi consultants are there in the United States? Is the market too saturated? What should you do if you really want to become a consultant but you already know several people who sell the product? Paparazzi Accessories experienced exponential growth in 2017 but the market remains far from saturated. Let’s take a closer look below.
How many Paparazzi consultants are there?
Paparazzi opened its doors for consultants in 2010. Since that time, approximately 75,000 consultants have joined the bandwagon of fabulous $5 fashion. It is difficult to pinpoint an exact number of active consultants in a given month as we do not have minimums or quotas. However, according to the corporate office there are approximately 20,000 consultants nationwide.
Does this mean the market is saturated?
Absolutely not. If you consider well-known companies such as Scentsy or Mary Kay, who have hundreds of thousands of consultants, the Paparazzi market is far from saturated. There may be clusters throughout the States with more per capita consultants than others. The Internet, however, minimizes the geographical boundaries and allows us to compete throughout the country.
What should I do if everyone’s cousin has a cousin that already sells Paparazzi?
No worries! I have said it before and I will say it again – the Paparazzi founders know exactly what they are doing with this business model. They have designed it to specifically encourage cooperation and collaboration rather than cut-throat competition. One of the best ways they do this is by constantly releasing new accessories. We get new jewelry on the website every single day, Monday-Friday. What other company changes their offerings this frequently? As a result, items DO sell out quickly but this allows consultants to have different inventories from each other. If Sally goes to a party with my inventory she will find amazing accessories at a price she can afford. If she goes to Audra’s party the next week she will find an entirely different collection of fabulous jewelry because Audra and I happened to place orders on different days. How cool is that?
How else can I set myself apart from other consultants?
When you look at how many Paparazzi consultants are spread throughout the United states you see the market is not saturated. The company is growing quickly, however, and as a consultant you will want to set yourself apart from others. There are two main ways to set yourself apart.
First, be YOURSELF! Do you have a quirky sense of humor? A love affair with red lipstick and leopard print? Let your personality shine and focus on relationships with others. How can you relate to them? What do you have in common with both your teammates and your customers? One thing I struggle with is being too bland. I love to laugh but coming up with humor on my own is not my strength so I have to figure out how to let my voice and personality come through. You and your fabulous quirks will not appeal to everyone and that is totally okay. Be you and your people will find you.
Second, provide amazing customer service. Customer service is more than cute packaging and a smile. This is taking the time to really get to know and understand your customers. What are their likes? dislikes? What is happening in their lives? What do you have in common? This means following up with your customers and making sure they received their items. Take the extra step to make sure they are satisfied with their purchases and experience. Sometimes this requires flat out asking them how you can do a better job and then implementing those changes. When I did my very first Facebook party I had no idea what I was doing. It was a crazy chaotic mess and the people forgave me anyway! 🙂 (God bless you. You know who you are.) After that experience I knew I needed a better plan and method of serving my customers so I sent out a survey to them. The feedback they gave me was helpful and the next party was not quite so chaotic.
