$5 jewelry – well, what’s not to love about that?!?!
The very, very best part of this business, though, is that it allows for generosity. I love the affordability of the $5 price point. It is so affordable that I can comfortably provide prizes and giveaways for customers and guests at parties.
I don’t know about you but I DETEST attending a party and being told I will get a free item****(The asterisks meaning that I have to place an order first or sales have to reach a million dollars for me to receive said free item). I know, I know – nothing is ever really free. Or is it? Why not? What’s wrong with giving something with no strings attached every now and then?
A couple months ago I was having an online party and announced the winner of the doorprize. The gal private messaged me and said she was really very sorry but that her husband had just lost his job and she truly didn’t even have a spare $5 to place an order so I should feel free to give the door prize to someone else. #1 – it took a lot of courage for her to message me and be that straightforward and real with me. #2 a heart that is hurting absolutely needs a little bit of love and #3 – How many times have I myself been in the same position – without even $5 to spare?
I reassured her that an order was not necessary in my parties – if you win the free item, you win the free item with no strings attached.
I am thrilled that Paparazzi has given me the freedom and flexibility to run my business the way I want, that I can give items away just because I think someone needs a little kindness in their day and there is no need for a shmarmy salespitch. If I were with a different direct sales company with a different price point I don’t think I could run my business this way. I’d probably be forced to count the pennies a little closer and try to be strategic about every giveaway.
I am so grateful for all of my customers, every guest at the parties and every hostess. 🙂 You have given my business a great start, you have shown me lots of grace as I try to figure all this out, and returning the favor is truly my pleasure. Sparkle on, people, sparkle on.
